provides opportunities for motivated, talented undergraduate students to collaborate with faculty and graduate students on research about securing smartphones and their networks using both hardware and software approaches. All participants submit a research paper, produce a research poster, and make a final presentation. Students also participate in activities including workshops, meetings, professional conferences and field trips in and around New York City to enhance their program experience and prepare for graduate school.
Who:
Michael Iwanoff is Chief Information Security Officer at , an authoritative partner of the global communications industry connecting more than two billion people every day. At REU, he will present 鈥淯nderstanding the Career Roadmap鈥 to students interested in careers in cybersecurity.
Iwanoff has over 15 years of experience building and implementing comprehensive IT security, risk and compliance programs for global organizations including AIG, Barclays, Comcast and AT&T. He holds numerous security certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CISA and CRISC.

The REU program runs from May 30 to August 3. Iwanoff鈥檚 presentation is Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. ET.
